The Spires Academy provides places for learners who have been excluded from their mainstream school, or are close to permanent exclusion, and require significant behaviour support. From September 2020 the academy will be offering both full-time places and 'turnaround' spaces, which will require dual registration and an understanding that the young person will be readmitted to their mainstream school following this intervention. All places are accessed through referral to the Northamptonshire Education Inclusion and Partnership Team.
Over the course of the next 2 years the school will be gradually increasing capacity to have 68 spaces for primary aged children and 32 spaces for secondary (initially only Y7 and 8).
To acquire a place at the Academy a young person must meet these criteria and will be referred to the school by the County Council.
The Academy is committed to equal opportunities and will admit pupils/students across the full spectrum of academic abilities. All pupils/students will have equal access to the curriculum.
